In the quiet of a dawning day,
Where shadows fade and light holds sway,
There blooms a flower, pure and bright,
Forgiveness, in the morning light.

Its petals soft, a gentle hue,
Of hope, and grace, and skies anew,
It whispers through the breeze's song,
A tale of mending, making strong.

It does not dwell on wounds or scars,
Nor counts the tears beneath the stars,
But lifts the heart, and soothes the pain,
A balm for souls in sorrow's rain.

Forgiveness is a bridge we build,
When anger’s storm has been fulfilled,
It spans the chasms deep and wide,
And brings us to the other side.

It asks for courage, simple, true,
To let go of the hurt we knew,
And in that space, so wide, so free,
Find peace in shared humanity.

For in the act of letting go,
We find a truth that all must know,
That love is stronger, wounds will heal,
And through forgiveness, hearts reveal.

So let us plant this tender seed,
In every thought, in every deed,
And nurture it with tender care,
For in forgiveness, love is there.
