Gorgeously warm and homely quality Scottish Treen knife/cutlery box from late 19th Century to Early 20th. Made by hand with alternate light and dark vertical sections. It is in lovely condition, very unusual to find a cutlery tray in this design.
The light coloured wood is likely to be Sycamore and the dark Alder, 2 woods typically used in Scottish Treen. .
