We journey through life,
day by day,
forever hoping for better
along the way.
We meet new friends,
who greet us with a 'hello,'
helping the world to turn
in its constant ebb and flow.
But some are cruel,
their souls poisoned by hate,
making a personal hell—
a world they self-create.
They can truly pull you down,
be negative, bring forth strife,
making your own days miserable,
driving you quite irate.
From them, you simply must walk away,
go your very own path.
Learn to think for yourself,
and always have your own say.
It's better far to be alone,
to get on with life's design,
to grow stronger day by day,
than to perish by their malign shine.
For jealousy thrives
in this uncertain, modern age;
it's part of human nature,
often governed by pure rage.
From the dawn of time,
this bitter hate was slowly born,
leaving our human nature shattered,
ripped and torn.
So be truly who you are;
don't follow the path of the sad.
It's always better to be nice,
than to live like the bad.
