My Poetry. The busy Garden.
What treasures explode in this garden of mine?
Tulips, bold Daffodils, sharp sprigs of thyme,
Towering Hollyhocks, scented, vivid stock,
A riot of colours that simply will not stop.
Bees and bright butterflies dart and zoom,
Oblivious to humanity, ignoring the gloom.

But what fierce beasts prowl this forest of fun?
When the vibrant light snaps out and the hot sun is done?
Shadowy Badgers, cunning Fox, and silent Mice,
They stalk the vast green, casting nature’s dice.
Plundering, raking, frantically searching around,
For the crucial scraps of food that might be found!

Then, with the blazing morning sun, life bursts alive!
The bees all frenzy-buzz back into the active hive.
The garden glows, intensely sweet in the heat of the day,
Under the cloudless blue and the sun's powerful ray.
It's all one crucial, electric, wondrous sight,
The gardener's triumphant dream, the farmer's keen delight!
