My Poetry. If Sadness had a name?

If sadness was a name, then it would be mine;
My tears would flow endlessly, all the time.
My sorrow runs deep as I sit here and weep,
If sadness was a name, then it would be mine.

If the clouds were to fall suddenly from the sky,
There would be nothing that could stop me to fly.
I would rush home to you,
And finally feel through and through
If sadness was a name, then it would be mine.

Sadness is my friend,
Yet on your life I do depend.
I need you right by my side,
Like the ancient shore needs the tide.
If sadness was a name, it would be mine!

If Heaven itself decided to close its door, I'd give you the key,
Just to bring you closer to that perfection, and closer to me.
The angels would watch over you,
Guided by our deepest love, through and through,
If sadness was a name, then it would be mine.

If we are to be together, then that would be fine,
Holding hands in the sunlight, completely yours, completely mine.
Pulling at the green grass with my bonnie lass,
If sadness was a name, then it would be mine.

If the bright dawning of a day were never to appear,

Despite this or anything else, our love would only grow.
Our two lives would be one, we would still have fun,
If sadness was a name, then it would be mine.
