My Poetry. I love the way….
Caesar in the Garden
I love the way you curl your ears
When i speak or make a noise
I love the way you always react
When you go and grab your toys.

I love the way you look at me
When its time for your walk
I love the way you wag your tail
When we go around the block

I love the way you lick my face
When You are showing I'm missed
I love the way you greet me
Even when I'm pissed.

I love the way you cry at the tv
When an animal appears
I love the way you protect me
And quash all my fears.

I love the way you follow me
Even when i visit the lou
I love the fact your always there
Stickin to me like glue.

I love the way you chase.the birds
Even though its a waste of time
I love the way you let me know
That animal cruelty is a crime.

I love the way you chase the hoover
Getting into a rage
I love the way you hate a bath
Even in your old age.

I just love you your my best friend
My life is so complete
From when you were a puppy
Biting at my feet.

  1. I had three loves like that. Their names were Pupi, Kenia, and Fliper. After they passed away, I didn’t want replacements. With Pupi, especially, we had a close relationship. She would hunt partridges, and I would shoot them. She was a very intelligent Border Collie, as was her son, Fliper, and Kenia, a Doberman-Shepherd mix. The poem is beautiful, and it reminded me of when Pupi would grab my slippers to bite, and when I fought with her, she would cover her eyes with her paw and cry like a child. Having a pet dog is a bit sad, in a way; they go before us, and only the memories remain.

  2. Very interesting poem and warm discussions below. No pets in my apartments, but I do believe life is precious and incredible, all lives…. Have a good time, Billy!

  3. I read your poem My Poetry. Still Together by chance(written on 11 May 2022 ). It touched my heart deeply.I believe that Love, real love can move heaven and earth. Please allow me to quote some lyrics in here for more readers to share. Thank you, Billy!

  4. I see. Not my poem, Billy, it was written by you in 2022…Sorry for interrupting your schedule. I do appreciate your poem— “Still Together”. I read this poem by chance and wanted to quote it for more readers to enjoy. Have a nice day!

      1. Still Together.

        11 May 2022 7 William Sinclair Manson

We have lived together for 50 years
and are still in love to this day
we have managed to stay together
fight demons in our own way.

        ………

Ups and downs we certainly had
and at times we wondered about us
but with hard work and determination
we continued to live without fuss.
Now we are here after 50 years
and I still adore you my love
for the rest of our lives together
will be shared with the good lord above…

  5. The connection between you is so special, the bonds you build overtime….I’m not allowed to keep a dog where I live, but we have a visiting cat that sleeps on our bed every night and demands food. We’ve named him Barney.,I’ve no idea where he comes from.

  6. I had a puppy like this when I was a little girl. She followed me to our one-room school and would wait outside for me at the end of the day. Cindy was my best friend in those days.

  7. Your words about Caesar radiate the timeless warmth of true love, William. It’s more than a poem — it’s a reflection of loyalty and shared moments that define our humanity. I admire how you transform simple gestures into profound emotion. Thank you for this moving piece; it glows with tenderness and heartfelt truth.
