📺 The Outsider (HBO Series) – Initial Impression.
The series is a fantastic and compelling mystery. The plot begins with the brutal murder of a young child (Frankie Peterson). All evidence (DNA, fingerprints, eyewitnesses) seems to point to a clear suspect: the respected Little League coach, Terry Maitland (Jason Bateman). However, that same man has an iron-clad alibi (video and witnesses from a conference) proving he was 70 miles away at the time of the crime. This fundamental contradiction—a man being in two places at once—is the central mystery. The acting is described as very realistic and intense. Ben Mendelsohn plays the grieving and conflicted Detective Ralph Anderson.
Key dramatic events mentioned include the determined police detective (Ralph Anderson) pursuing the case. The dead boy’s teenage brother opens fire outside the courthouse, fatally wounding the suspect (Terry Maitland) before being killed himself by the detective. The detective (Ralph) is now racked with doubt about the true identity of the child’s killer, given the impossible nature of the evidence and the suspect’s dying insistence on his innocence.
It certainly sounds like a mystery worth checking out!

Wow, I love crime and mystery series and films, William. And your presentation push me to want it. But unfortunately I have no connection with HBO here in Greece. Any way I will make my own efforts. Thank you very much, my friend.
