I watched this brilliant movie tonight, I thought at first oh here we go its all going to be CGI and have no story but boy was I wrong.
The Actress Playing the Indian Hunter was utterly amazing and played the part to a T.
Prey is a lean, mean, and remarkably refreshing prequel that breathes thrilling new life into the Predator franchise. Set in the Comanche Nation in 1719, the film strips the concept back to a primal survival story, pitting a less-technologically advanced Predator against the fierce and determined young warrior, Naru (a star-making performance by Amber Midthunder).
Director Dan Trachtenberg (of 10 Cloverfield Lane fame) skillfully trades the military bravado of the original for silent, tense tracking and tactical ingenuity. The film is beautifully shot, using the vast, rugged landscapes of the Great Plains to great effect, making the hunt feel visceral and grounded.
Naru is an exceptional protagonist, whose growth from underestimated healer to master hunter feels earned as she studies her formidable alien foe. The action sequences are brutally creative and clear, focusing on strategy over firepower. While some minor visual effects are occasionally distracting, this film is undeniably the best Predator entry since the 1987 original. It’s a superb, action-packed thrill ride that works as both a deep-cut prequel and a standalone survival horror story.

Excellent review. In this age of communication comatose, watching movie and sharing feelings with others is the last remnant of liveliness
thanks again Raj, you are right, we need something..
I enjoyed this one too. I do like the Predator movies in general, but this one was much better than I was expecting. The lead character was great
thanks mate, yeah it was well made and well acted, thank you.
Hmm, I will cop to having immediately written this off as yet more beating of the dead Predator franchise horse, but now I’m intrigued …
I thought that as well James, but this was better than the usual predator films… and it had a good storyline, thanks mate..
