Brean is a village and civil parish between Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset, England. The name is derived from “Bryn”; Brythonic and Modern Welsh for a hill. It has a population of 635.
Close to the village is Brean Down, a promontory standing 320 feet (98 m) high and extending 1.5 miles (2.4 km) into the Bristol Channel, on which stands Brean Down Fort, marking the end of Weston Bay.
The village is on a strip of land between the sea and the River Axe. It is the home of Brean Leisure Park, a tropical bird garden, other tourist attractions, and several caravan parks. The sandy beach has been used for land sailing since 1970. Sometimes, Brean can also be linked with the nearby village, Berrow so the villages can also be called Berrow & Brean.

I am impressed by its simple beauty, its vastness, its serenity. I would like to ask the following, William: I see quite a few caravans, as you say. Are their free use allowed or are there specific parks for placement.
I also do not see sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach, which in Greece is now very annoying. I am talking about rented beaches that are filled with 100s of sun loungers and umbrellas and change both the space and the access.

Hey John…there are parks you can go to to have electricity.water etc but it isn’t always the case people do that as most are fixed on a site.. the temperature in the UK doesn’t bear well for sunbeds etc so they are not always available..have a great day pal..

Wow, that’s one big beach all right. Stick that beach here in Southern California and it would be mobbed, especially today when it’s ridiculously hot on the coast …
