Fly high, my little one, embrace the sky!
It is the chosen time to venture on your own.
Go see the wide, incredible world out there,
Now that your wings are fully grown.
Take your risks, live out your vibrant life—
You are a certainty to stumble and to fall,
But promise to strive for a life of joy,
And never let your gentle spirit fall from grace.
Treat all people you meet with dignity,
as you have learned to treat yourself.
Remember that respect costs nothing to offer;
help the unfortunate, care for the sick,
and comfort every friend who proves to be true.
Remember your family waiting here at home,
when the challenging times get rough and hard.
Always know your parents' love is a beacon,
here to pick up the pieces if your heart is scarred.
The nest is dismantled, the apron strings are cut;
you must now embark to fully find yourself.
The inevitable storms of life will surely blow,
trying hard to knock you from the shelf.
Go forth and fulfill your deepest goals, my love;
Success is patiently waiting for you out there.
All you need is courage and true inner love,
carried on a strong wing and a well-earned prayer.
