My Poetry. The Steady Anchor.

my poetry the steady anchor
my poetry the steady anchor
The diagnosis is a sudden weather change,
A stark mapping of a familiar coast.
The quiet rooms where medicine is arranged,
And the body learns what it needs the most.

It is a walk through a shadowed glen,
Where every step demands a quiet grace,
To find the strength to rise and try again,
And look tomorrow calmly in the face.

The hours stretch long in the waiting bay,
Where silent courage is a currency spent,
Yet hope remains a stubborn thing to say,
A steady anchor when the sails are rent.

For life is measured not by storms we clear,
But by the quiet resolve to keep our stride,
To hold the hands of those we carry dear,
And face the rising waters with our pride.

To all those who are suffering or have suffered with Cancer.
