A beautiful Scottish Seaton pottery Aberdeen Agateware triangular dish.

Noted as among the most spectacular of all ceramic creations (*Ref Cruickshank, 2005)

– Attribute to Thomas Gavin and his son John of Seaton Pottery, Aberdeen, Scotland.

– Seaton pottery are noted as creating distinctive forms. 

– Wedging together light and dark brown clay with white clay, and dividing the resultant lump into single balls before throwing, this produced a dramatic effect which sometimes resembled natural agate stone.
