This is funny, lately we have been watching a few old Australian shows from the early to mid 2000s and they keep using slang that we have no idea what it means, like “arvo” (afternoon) or “flake and potato cake” (fried fish and potato where the fish is, specifically, shark, and the potato is, specifically, thinly sliced and breaded, and then the potatoes are stacked on top of the fish). We were joking that we need some kind of Aussie-to-American-English translation slang. Fortunately you are here helping me prepare in advance for if we ever watch a Scottish show.

    1. hahahha thats funny James you have no idea how more complicated Scottish Dialect is compared to Ausie lol, even yours is different in a few ways like faucet-tap etc, stick around pal you will be fluent in Scottish by the time I am finished lol, thanks James.
