As we all Celebrate this wonderful time of the Year, we must reflect on how it may be for some people who for circumstances beyond their control, do not think of Christmas as a time for celebration because they are too poor, too weak, medically iIl, alone or homeless.
Imagine how a parent feels when they see all these adverts pouring in from the TV about gifts when they cannot even afford to pay their fuel bills, so the Children have to suffer and Santa Claus does not visit them.
Imagine what it is like to be living rough on cold streets with no protection or safety, looking for shelter and sometimes not finding it.
Imagine what it is like to go hungry, as you are displaced in some sort of camp, freezing cold and trying to protect your loved ones.
We see ad after ad on giving to charities who try their very best to ensure that the less well off get some sort of shelter and Christmas Dinner, peace for at least one day before going back into the madhouse of the World.
But we cannot feed everyone, money is tight, some parents cannot even feed their own kids but somehow always manage to give to the less fortunate that’s called the milk of human kindness and although we think it’s rare these days there are always people who would give their last.
So when you cannot eat another Brussel sprout or your christmas pud in your warm cosy home, think of everyone around you, who won’t be in that position.
Merry Christmas guys.
William.

Absolutely right Billy completely agree. Merry Christmas 🌷❤️🌸
And back at you my dear friend.
Following your above message, William, about the other and real side of Christmas, I have to add that, yes, we cannot feed everyone, BUT we have to “fight” for another world. Not “their” world of war, of profits, of money and cruel feelings. We deserve an other world with justice and euality for everyone.
My best wishes, my friend.
Yes we do John and we need to fight for it, thank you, Merry Christmas..
Its like you saw my childhood. My childhood was spent being thankful for the kindness of others and I have never forgotten those less fortunate. Thanks for the reminder Billy. Allan
Awe I bet you are very kind Allan, thank you..
What a great reminder that there are always those people less fortunate than we are. We need to spread a little kindness all year long, not just at Christmas.
Absolutely Bev, some folks have nothing, thank you x
William, your message is a vital reminder during this season of celebration. You ask us to look deeper at those struggling in silence and cold. Thank you for sharing such a kind and honest point of view. I hope your Christmas is filled with steady peace and true warmth.
Thank you Livora, take care.
