The correct answer is Culzean Castle, Ayrshire In 1945 when the owners of Culzean Castle in Ayrshire donated it to the National Trust for Scotland they requested that the top floor be given to General Eisenhower as a thank you from Scotland for America’s support during World War II. General Eisenhower and members of his family stayed there on several occasions.
