Here we have the ‘Wailing Widow’ (Allt Chranaidh) waterfall. This is a ‘classic’ NC500 spot to visit. It is known as the Wailing Widow as from above it looks like an eye crying.
That’s a really pretty waterfall! One of our favorite places back when we lived in New York was a gorge near our house that had a split waterfall down an undeveloped trail. We used to scramble down to the bottom just to hang out there on hot summer days, because between all the mist in the air and all the trees it was usually at least ten degrees cooler down there, not to mention gorgeous.
Always enjoy a beautiful waterfall.
something peaceful about them bev, thank you.
How beautiful! Waterfalls always look like liquid energy. Thanks for this!
