I remember very well Years ago my ex wife and my daughter and I visuted Blackpool for a week and spent a glorious week there, although the place has been neglected by Government funding it is still a classy place to visit.
Blackpool developed from a small 18th-century hamlet into a premier British seaside resort, driven by fashionable sea bathing in the 1750s and the 1846 arrival of railways. It became a major working-class destination, renowned for the 1894 Tower, Pleasure Beach, piers, and annual Illuminations, remaining a popular tourist spot today despite facing modern economic challenges.

I’m glad I visited Blackpool, Billy. Like you I enjoyed it, although it was a quick trip for me. I squeezed in half a day when on a business trip for ICI Australia. I enjoyed the view from the tower, a show then … off.
Saw a little bit of the UK in this way; not enough!
Be well and do good
Kind regards,
DD
